Exceptions to Overnight Heart Measurements

The Ultrahuman Ring AIR is designed to take regular background heart measurements during your sleep. However, there are certain situations where these measurements may not be taken:

  1. Low Battery or Power Saving Mode Background measurements will be suspended if the ring's battery level falls below 5% or if the ring enters power saving mode. This helps preserve battery life for essential functions.
  2. Ring in Airplane Mode Background measurements will be suspended when the ring is in airplane mode, as this disables wireless communication features.
  3. Disconnection from App If the ring loses its connection to the companion app throughout the night, background heart measurements cannot be recorded or synced. Ensure your phone is within range and the app is running in the background for consistent monitoring.
  4. High Motion Detection During periods of significant movement, the ring may pause heart measurements to avoid inaccurate readings. This typically occurs during restless sleep or if you get up during the night.
  5. Lack of Skin Contact If the ring detects that it's not in proper contact with your skin (e.g., if it's too loose or has been removed), it will not attempt to take heart measurements to prevent false readings.
